Maybe I’m ignorant to all of this, but how did the Othadox Jewish become so powerful in Israel? Isn’t their government law that can protect women from these crimes?

Has anybody in the U.S. or those or read the American press noticed that the American media has not had one story on this even though the Israeli and British press had done several, particularly the former. American correspondents in Israel cannot claim ignorance given the ubiquitous reports on these fanatics in the English language (and, I am sure, Hebrew) press. The NY Times just doesn’t want readers to get an impression of Israel that doesn’t fit the image of a bastion of enlightenment. If this was an Arab city the American would have given the story 10 Front Pages, at least.

you are absolutely right..It is quite conveniant how the media works it’s magic..Nobody would want the U.S. citizens to know Israel was facing horrid abuse and death, that wouldn’t be good for prophit...On the other hand, Mexico is in every newspaper, blog, and internet site at least a 10 times a day..fREEDOM OF SPEECH? ya right..
