Mexico City has just ‘Thrilled’ the world and most certainly broken, yet another world record, as a whopping 12,937 people danced simultaneously to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in front of Mexico City’s Monument of the Revolution on Saturday, which would have been Michael Jackson’s 51st birthday.
“We did it!” More people responded than we even imagined Mexico gave the best tribute in the world to Michael Jackson.”
-Javier Hidalgo-event organizer
The event, which some feared would be hampered due to rain, united over 50,000 spectators.

Was the previous world record held by 242 College of William & Mary students actually broken? Unofficially no; the impersonator who lead the dance, Hector Jackson, and most of the participants looked pretty damn good, but Guinness must certify whether all those people really performed the entire routine.
Official Guiness results will be announced within a week.

I just hope that they can organize for more trascendental issues.
(like water saving)
Keep practicing !
It’s ashame we can’t organize that amount of people in every major city of Mexico for civil causes, important issues:
environment, security, poverty, education, sickness, and the list goes on and on.
sighhhhhhh
