That people feel obliged to do this is an ominous sign for Mexico.

I think that this phenomena says much more than we realise about Mexico, which is fast becoming one of the countries the most menaced by anarchy on the planet.

May I also salute the efforts of the Army, which, for the moment, seems to be holding up relatively well.

Would I write that if I lived there with a family?

Don’t know, because I’m not living this horror, but, if it’s happening, there has to be a reason for it.......
