Citizens must REACT.. We can not cower and hide from these narco-terrorists forever..

To be honest, I am furious over the lies, betrayl, and loss of innocent lives to this so called ”drug war.”

What is the war about? The narcos are not killing us because of us, they are killing us to get to the U.S. MY QUESTION IS: IF THE U.S. WANTS IT, WHY DO WE HAVE TO STOP IT....

It appears to me, they want the drugs, but NOT the violence and bloodshed that comes along with it.

It’s all very complicated i think for me to grasp. Something I have lost the ability to absorb with logic.

I’m sorry for your friend’s life and for your grief. I’m sorry for his wife and his friends and family.

Just two days ago some Cop here in Cairo shot a man during an argument, just like that, picked his gun and killed him...

I don’t know how to feel anymore, I’m just sorry.

A few days later, funeral wreaths were placed in the towns plaza; with names of still living Sonora State police; threstening them to back off.

It is suspected Dany was killed in retribution for his part in a narco-police shoot out on Oct 24 which had left a total of 10 narcos sicarios dead.

I am deeply sorry to hear of your friend’s death, Oscar.

Particularly as he died within the context of the struggle of the Mexican people for a better life, a struggle which you have courageously integrated into your own existence.

On a more pragmatic level, however, (and I don’t know, of course, how many of your questions are being asked in public, or how well this page is known in Mexico) are you sure you aren’t risking anything by asking that kind of question in the last two paragraphes?

I mean there must be people who do NOT want that kind of question to be insisted upon. People on both sides of the battle lines....with a lot to lose, or gain.

But, as I say, I don’t know really. I was just thinkin’ of a friend.......

I HAVE edited a paragraph (I wrote in the heat of the moment and probably should have thought first)..

It has been announced that DANY was killed for his involvement and shootout against a cartel in October which left 10 ”sicarios”, narco hit men dead..The police commanderof his group was killed on Nov.1 by over 150 bullets, and it seems they are working thru the unit in retribution for the death of their ”own” (the cartel)..A few days after Dany was killed funeral wreaths were sent and displayed in many of the town’s plaza warning the STATE POLICE and military that revenge was imminent and to back off.

While Dany cannot be brought back, at least his name has been cleared..It has been made clear that he was loyal...and he paid for that loyality to his town, state, and country with his LIFE.

p.s. I am going to be investigating why mostly Americans blame the U.S. for our violence and killing sprees in this narco war...I made the comment, because I have never seen an article written by a Mexican councerning the issue, only reprinted quotes by foreign journalist..I want to look deeper into Mexican news and see if I find myself in error.. will get backto you as soon as I know..I suspect it is because we KNOW and ADMIT to our country’s blame, corruption, weaknesses, etc...But I will dig deeper..

Well, given that I very much doubt that the Police publish the missions, names, photos and addresses of their operational units in the national press, the fact that ”they (the cartels) are working through the unit” must mean that they have inside information somewhere.......

Also, I now understand better what you meant by the position adopted by American journalists, and why it’s important to you. And yes, I would be grateful if you could put up, or communicate, anything you may find in connection with it....

It’s not difficult to finsd out about police units..Everyone knows someone, there doesn’t need to be corruption even..But the cartels ALWAYS have insiders plus have acess to police bands (they frequently take control of police bands to play ”narcocorridos” (ranch style songs glorifying cartels)after killing another officer or as a warning that a new hit is coming.

Apart, in the instance of Dany and the ”shootout” between his state unit and narcos, there were many survivors, both narcos and police...It wouldn’t be difficult to place a hit...

It caused a big stir at the time, but, with all that’s happening, maybe that story has become yesterday’s news already....
